We suggest that your hair be at least shoulder length. This includes avoiding big chops prior to your appointment. Extremely short and blunt hair styles are more difficult to braid and maintain in your style for the longest amount of time. If you are concerned about the state of your hair, feel free to contact us and we can discuss options!

Please come to your appointment with dry, thoroughly brushed hair that is free of knots. This helps avoid eating into your appointment time.

Typically, braids are easier to do with slightly dirtier hair. However, if you are planning to keep the braids in for a longer period of time, we suggest washing your hair prior to your appointment. This helps with scalp health, itchiness and flakiness.

We suggest you avoid getting your hair wet to maintain the style and neatness for as long as possible. This is because the hair gel we use during the service is water-based, therefore it will dissolve in water. However, you will still get around one week with your style if it gets wet.
